Coreen and Steven {Blaine, Washington}

High school sweethearts, Coreen and Steven met and fell in love as young teenagers, and finally tied the knot eleven years later, at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington. Both Canadian, they grew up across the Bay in Whiterock, BC, but traveled to the beautiful city of Blaine for their  destination beach wedding. Coreen and her family put together beautiful details for her navy-lime-white preppy wedding: a delicious (homemade!) cookie bar with rustic burlap signage, hand-sewn coordinating navy and lime dinner napkins, a twine and card seating chart strung up in a navy frame, calligraphic place cards, and more! Over 60 white paper lanterns lit up the marquis tent on the pier, and as night fell, Coreen and Steven danced to ‘Marry Me’ by Train. The ceremony was held on the lawn at the edge of the beach, overlooking the same Bay where Coreen and Steven had grown up together – but on the other side. Ceremony decorations were simple, including a wood arch and simple, sky blue chiffon swagging. Coreen hand-made the gorgeous invitation suite herself! Coreen wore a gorgeous ivory lace gown, with classic pearls, a hand-made gem waist tie, sparkly gold ballet flats and her mother’s veil. Her bridesmaids, looking like they stepped out of a J Crew catalog, wore adorable navy and white polka-dotted, ruffled edge short dresses and carried mixed bouquets of white dahlias, roses, freesias, and green kermit mums (similar to Coreen’s bridal bouquet). The groom and groomsmen wore khaki suits as a nod to the khaki suit that Coreen’s father wore at his wedding. Navy striped ties and green kermit mum boutonnieres completed the fresh look.

I am in awe of anyone that is crafty.  To see these decorations and know the bride and her family made them all, is beyond me!  Can someone teach me to be this crafty??!!!

Tera and John

Tera married John in Alys Beach wearing a tiered white gown and her grandmother’s earrings.  The reception was designed in a peacock theme and lit with twinkling butterfly lights.  Does this girl have style or what?!  And you just gotta see the strawberry milkshakes that were served(um, totally cute idea!).  As with many Paul Johnson photos, I had the hardest time narrowing down the images to use.  Another awe-mazing beach wedding in South Walton.

Paper Pretties

I have a love of paper.  Stationary, blank note cards, thank you cards, just-because cards, pretty envelopes, well, you get the point.  And there’s no better way to formally announce your wedding than a gorgeous invitation.  I have a former MarryMeAtTheBeach.com bride turned friend that designs the most exquisite and  beautifully coordinated wedding papers, from announcement to thank you cards.  Check out their gorgeous array of paper pretties at Atlas & Campbell.

Cute lil’ Details

I love this for all it’s little cutesy design elements:  cupcake stand in lieu of a cake, the candy table for the kids (and big kids!), and itty bitty margarita glasses, pre-rimmed with salt.  When you see cute ideas, you just gotta post ‘em!
